Professional Bio
Dr. Tonya Paulette is a licensed school psychologist and professional counselor with more than three decades of experience in K–12 education, higher education, and community mental health. She most recently worked as an independent contractor, providing in-person and virtual school psychology services, including psychoeducational evaluations, counseling, and consultation. Her experience includes developing district-wide autism support initiatives in multiple school districts and serving as Director of Student Accessibility Services at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where she led ADA and Section 504 compliance and created a peer mentor program for autistic college students. She holds a doctorate in educational leadership from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, a master’s in psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University, and a bachelor’s in psychology from Texas A&M University. Her professional interests focus on developing supports for students, advancing accessibility in education, and fostering social-emotional development.
